How It Works
You will hear a situation or prompt describing an everyday scenario. You have 25 seconds to think of an answer, then 40 seconds to record your response.
The situations are based on everyday life (e.g. a neighbor asking for help, a colleague needing advice). Your response should be relevant, polite, and address the issue.
Scoring Factors
- Content: Address the request directly and offer a practical suggestion.
- Fluency: Speak smoothly without long pauses or restarts.
- Pronunciation: Keep key words clear so your intent is easy to understand.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Going off-topic or giving a generic answer without a clear suggestion.
- Speaking too long and running out of time before making the main point.
- Overly casual tone in a workplace scenario.
Practice Method
Use a simple structure: acknowledge the situation, give one or two suggestions, and end with a polite closing. Practice with a timer so your response fits within 40 seconds.
