Terms of Service

Welcome to PTEcorepractice. Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using our website and services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PTEcorepractice ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of the Terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

PTEcorepractice provides online practice tools, automated/algorithmic scoring, and study materials for the PTE Core exam.

Disclaimer

We are an independent practice platform and are NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Pearson PLC or the official PTE Core exam. Our services are for educational and practice purposes only.

3. Privacy and Data Collection

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. Please review our Privacy Policy.

4. User Accounts

  • Registration: You may need to create an account to access certain features (e.g., saving progress). You agree to provide accurate and complete information.
  • Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • No Sharing: Your account is for your personal use only. Sharing account credentials with others is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local laws.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack any part of the Service.
  • Harass, abuse, or harm another person or group through the Service.
  • Use automated scripts or bots to access or interact with the Service.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Our Content: All original content, text, graphics, logos, code, and scoring logic on the Service are the property of PTEcorepractice or its licensors and are protected by copyright laws.
  • Your Content: You retain ownership of the audio recordings and text you submit for practice. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to use, process, and analyze it to provide scoring and feedback.

We do not use your practice content to train AI models.

7. Automated Scoring & Accuracy Disclaimer

  • Our scoring and feedback are generated by automated/algorithmic systems. While we strive for accuracy, these scores are estimates only and may not perfectly reflect your actual performance in the official PTE Core exam.
  • We do not guarantee any specific test result or score improvement.

8. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by us. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.

9. Payment and Refunds

9.1 Subscription Plans

PTEcorepractice offers Premium subscription plans (7-day, 30-day, 90-day). All plans provide the same features; only the duration differs.

9.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your credit card information on our servers.

9.3 Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed as a one-time payment for the selected period.
  • No automatic renewal unless explicitly enabled.
  • Prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes.

9.4 Refund Policy

All subscription fees are non-refundable. By purchasing, you acknowledge that you have access to a free tier to evaluate the platform before upgrading.

Exceptions:

  • Technical issues preventing access (reviewed case-by-case).
  • Duplicate charges (refund within 7 days of notification).
  • Legal requirements in your jurisdiction.

9.5 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No prorated refunds are provided.

9.6 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change prices. Existing subscribers will be notified 30 days in advance and may complete their current period at the original price.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PTEcorepractice shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, resulting from:

  • Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service;
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service;
  • Any content obtained from the Service.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PTEcorepractice from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We accept no liability for any suspension or termination of your access to the Service. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will indicate the date of the last revision at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
